As well, he has written such movies as "Dreamcatcher", "Hearts in Atlantis", "The General's Daughter", "The Chamber", "Maverick", "Chaplin", "Misery", "All the President's Men" (won an Academy Award), "The Stepford Wives" (1975), "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid" (won an Academy Award), "Harper" and "Masquerade". His brother is writer James Goldman.
